It has been several months since I've updated this site...sorry about that! Since returning from India in October 2006 we have celebrated a huge Christmas time.
In January 2007 we were priveliged to travel again to our friends in Vietnam. Much has happened there since we were with them last. The time with the team was enormously satisfying. To see them uniting together and working to see the community they are overseeing grow was a real joy. We need to continue to stand with them as things unfold. Several others from our church also travelled to Vietnam with Operation Christmas Child to distribute the Love in a shoe box gifts.
We are currently preparing to take a team of 24 people to Uganda to work with the Watoto organisation. Our task is to build a house that will accomodate 8 children and a house mother. This task has been enormously satisfying, especially to see such a large team of people make the financial and time allowance for such a trip. We are hoping to take several hundred kilograms of extra supplies with us for the children and are currently working out how to stuff everything into our baggage!!
The church is going really well. We have just finished some internal renovations and they are looking great! This coming weekend (in fact tomorrow) we are including another Sunday morning service to create extra space for our growing congregation. It is a very exciting time for us all.
