The wonderful people of India

It has been a rather hectic few days since we left Melbourne. After a brief stop over in Malaysia we arrived in Dehli late on Friday evening. Saturday we caught another plane to the North East of the country where we spent a fabulous 2 days with the men in Guwahati. What a wonderful reception they gave us. It was such a privelige to be with them a share with them whilst there.

We caught a train for the 4 hour trip further into the North East to meet with the men in Dimapur. It was awesome to see them and how they had grown! We drove a further 2 hours into the mountains to a city called Kaiema (I think thats how it was spelt) and saw some fabulous scenary along the way. The men have a rented house here and we were able to pray together for the work in the area.

Lloyd has been leading some worship. Teaching them the wonderful song "How great is our God". This is now being sung all over India!! David gave a great testimony word to the guyds who responded really well. Ash gave a devotion one morning and it was awesome!! (I am very biased there!).

We then arrived back in Dehli for only 2 hours before catching an overnight train to Jodphur. There we met with the team and worshiped together. Thye took us to see the famous fort and we then concluded our time with another meeting of praise and we were able to share and encourage them again before catching another overnight train back to Dehli.

We have had a wonderful time of sharing, fellowship, encouragement and min*stry. It has been overwhelming to see the growth of all of the guys and the addition of so many new ones.

Thank you for your prayers for us. Great thanks to those who have cared for our families whilst being away. We really appreciate you!

Much love to all

India September 2006

Well another trip is about to begin again into the amazing nation of India! This time we have 6 intrepid travelers who are going to be enjoying the wonders of a mission expedition with the people of Betel. We are currently getting set to leave at midnight on Thursday/Friday this week and go through that horrible time zone of seeing Friday repeat itself like ground hog day until we reach New Dehli. We have a stop over for a few hours in KL Malaysia and have the chance for a little rest in a 5 star hotel provided by the airline as a “transit hotel”. I think we will be able to cope with this!

Our trip will be a busy one with travel on planes, trains and automobiles. We are heading from the centre of the nation to the very furthest north east and then coming back to Dehli a few days later we head west. I’m hoping we will be able to keep you updated whilst in the nation but that will depend on the internet access we need.

Pray for us as we travel. We always sense the prayers of our partners and couldn’t expect much to occur without such support. Many blessings to you as you lift us up.
